What Healthcare Specifiers Want

Our Top 3 Businesses at Alva Lighting are:

1.  Healthcare

2.  Large scale exterior

3.  Multifamily

We’ve been at this for 13 years.  We’ve listened to our customers and take their input seriously.  This blog will be the first of three, focusing on what the Healthcare Specifier is looking for.

What Healthcare Specifiers Want

1. Cleanliness

  • Fixtures need to be sealed or built in a fashion where insects and/or dirt can’t enter. Medical facilities have no way of removing these items once they are lodged within the fixture.

  • Anti-microbial paint finish (optional)

  • Washable resin. Our resins can withstand the harshest of chemicals.

2. Durability

  • Our resins are tough.  1K rated, designed to withstand a 10 pound bowling ball dropped upon them.

  • Paint finishes are tough.  No discoloration and/or peeling.

  • 10-year warranty.  Our products don’t fail.

3. Modern Minimalist Designs

  • Fixtures used in medical facilities need to be reasonably simple and clean.

  • Low-profile, exceed ADA requirements.  Bulky fixtures projecting far out from the wall simply don’t work in healthcare facilities.
